What fine weather we have.
– in chinese
On the way to Punggol by cab,we had a wonderful conversation with the taxi driver.
On which everything he said was in Chinese.
It started getting weird the moment we saw the taxi.Seeing that he held a sign showing “TAMPINES”,we assumed that we would not take us to our destination.
But he told us that he would take us to Punggol anyway, but that’s kind of strange.. I mean aren’t those places far apart?
After ab volunteered to sit in the front seat,he regretted in the next 5 minutes.Being very friendly, the cab driver asked him about how he was,has he eaten, what school he was from, just to name a few.
Looking at how ab was struggling to reply,Isaac and I decided to help him out.Telling the uncle how we were all brother’s and how ab is a member of the golf course we pasted by.
And A LOT more.
Soon after, the cab driver drove us past our destination because it was really hard to tell him where to go in Chinese.Five minutes later he asked us to tell it to him in English.
“WHAT??” “YOU KNEW HOW TO SPEAK ENGLISH ALL ALONG?!!!”
Okay.. now that that’s out of the way.The following conversations went like this.
Turn right please.
This carried on for the last 10 minutes of the journey. At EVERY SINGLE TURN!
I never felt better after leaving the cab.
What a wonderful afternoon we’re having.
